IR Control

I am planning to start using my slinke for IR control. I currently generate IR patterns on the fly from tables similar to the slinke device files so I am fairly comfortable with the low link mode. My questions pertain to the device level mode.

How many devices can I register and load at the same time?

How many buttons can there be on a single device, or all devices in total.

Where are the tables stored, in PC memory under control of the slinke server or active-x control or in the slinke memory?

Which methoid has the shorter time from invocation to the actual IR signal being sent, Low level or device level?
