The files you see as cde files are binary representations of the timing patterns. They require the ...ir.cde files to make sense of what the timings mean in terms of bits. The file you presnted from ez learn is burst timings. A plus value has the ir on, a minus value has the IR off. I sent you an email. You should be able to construct a standard device file from what I sent in the email.

The following is valid if you are writing your own code to interface to the slinkx server through the active-X control.

The other approach is to use what you have and use the "lowlevel" device. the lowlevel device expects to see burst timing in microseconds which is what you have. The lowlevel device is very easy to use. There are three commands you need to deal with and they are documented in the help under low level. If you want I can send you a VB program by which I make low level files based upon a description of the protocol and coding similiar to what a cde file looks like. If you are a programmer you will be able to understand what I have done. If you are not, then you should be able to get a good idea of how the bibnary files and the lowlevel timing files are related. If you want the program (or any one els does) send me an email. I will send the source with some device files.
