SlinkX option

I started the Slink client on a network machine. The Slink-e was running on another machine on the network. I no longer want to run the client using slinkx but when it comes up it tries to find the slinkx server and locks up. How can I modify the option to use slinkx without running the client? Is there a .ini file somewhere? tia
