I've finally tracked down the problem.

After adding the x10 device in CDJ you have to use REGEDIT and change the following config:

\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nirvis\cdj\Option\Devices

Find the x10 entry and change the "slinke=-1" to "slinke=0"

Restart cdj and then all works fine.
