DXS Setup Issue

Question for the Nirvis folks: I just got my DXS unit fully installed this weekend. It is set up at the moment without a Slink-e connection and auto-senses four incoming ports to decide which one to output. I am getting a short but very noticeable delay in the switchover between the time a song starts and the time the DXS outputs that bitstream. The result is to clip a note or two at the very beginning of the song. I am losing maybe a quarter to a third of a second, enough to be quite noticeable to anybody familiar with that particular song.

Is there any way short of hooking DXS into Slink-e to fix this problem? (I had hoped to avoid the cable and config hassles.) If not, is CDJ eventually going to be able to control the DXS in a way the circumvents the issue? What's obviously needed is a slight pause at the switchover from one CD player to another, during which the DXS receives and executes a command to switch to the appropriate input.

Thanks for your advice. This seems to me to be an important DXS functionality issue. Having songs clipped during normal listening would be merely annoying, but it's enough to make recording MDs or tapes impossible.
