My system appears to be completely working now. The problem with the edgeport serial device was if I started the slink server with no slinke plugged in, it hung the server. I suspect it has something to do with the way Colby checks for a valid slinke and the type of response returned by the USB hub for no device present. It initially happened while testing on my development system which has no slinke. I expected to see a loaded server with the number of slinke's found equal to 0, instead the server hung.
