In Response To: Sony A1(II) control (TK Reiboldt)

A1II is already fully supported by the existing Nirvis hardware and software. At least, it works like a charm in my setup, and I have two A1II changers. My understanding is that A1II is completely backward compatible with and understands all A1 control codes; all that's new is an added set of codes for higher-order functions that you and I probably don't care about.

If the Sony software you're referring to is MD Editor 2, it is also fully backward compatible. It communicates fine with both A1 and A1II MD decks, CD players and receivers. It's not the world's slickest interface but it works pretty well for drag-and-drop MD creation and titling.
