Ripping a WAV from a Roland UA-30

I am considering the purchase of the RolandED UA-30 so that I can get digital audio directly into and out of my PC and into my DXS unit. The goal is to rip all of the CDs I have into MP3s for easier and faster distribution throughout my home network, and potentially for remote access through ShoutCast.

My question has to do with getting the digital information coming in from the CD changers into the UA-30 into WAV format, so that it can be encoded. I know that there are many packages, such as CDEX, that can rip directly from a CD-ROM, but what is available to rip from a digital-in sound source that isn't a CD-ROM drive? (Preferably, it also should have command-line access or have a batch interface of some type.)

If it is a no-brainer, it should be easy to write an app to rip any playlist from CDJ in a fully automated manner, including features such ID3 tags based on the CDJ library. It should also be possible to automatically generate database entries for MP3 versions of the ripped and encoded albums.

Any input would be appreciated...
