Spurious IR traffic

I noticed that my Vaio laptop IR transmitter (I have it in the "promiscuous" mode) is being picked up by the Slink-e box and CDJ shows this as "nomatch Philips RC6" IR events. There's an event every couple of seconds.
I only mention this as I suppose this could do bad stuff if it was ever recognized as a mapped event, for example.
