Re: What PC should I buy for Slinke?

I just built one for myself dedicated to CDJ for a total cost of about $600.

I wanted a black desktop model that would not look out of place with my other components. The spec is as followes:

Black Barebone NLX case and motherboard from www.a-pro.com 433Mhz Celerion CPU 64Mb RAM Black 40x CD-Rom.

I use an infrared keyboard with it and an old ATI Video card which is connected to my AV Reciver via S-video.

It works very well and I leave it on all the time.

The only thing I want to change is the main power supply to a quieter one or even better one with a fan that varies speed depending on the temp. (The PC runs cold and therefore the fan would rarely come on).

If anyone knows of such a power supply, please let me know.
