DXS Losing the first few seconds of a song

A few others have reported losing the first second or two of each song when switching through the DXS. I had this problem, and found out it was not the DXS, or pause time between songs, or anything related to CDJ.

I previously had a MSB Link DAC, but "upgraded" my preamp from a Chiro C-800 to a C-802 (which has a built-in DAC) and started using the C-802 for D/A. I found that the Chiro cuts off the first few seconds of any song when preceeded by a few seconds of complete silence. I burned a test CD with a repeated pattern of five seconds of silence followed by a half-second tone burst, and the Chiro plays it as complete silence.
