Manual play and automation

Another thing I just thought of, it would be nice to get notification of non-playlist "play", "pause", "stop", etc. events as opposed to the "playlist_play", etc. notifications.

I realize that these are available from the cdslr.cde device but it seems like a lot of extra processing (read overhead) that needs to take place because of the high volume of messages over that device interface. I'd rather not waste the cycles because this same PC also deals with other aspects of my home automation system.
