I am using hardcoded IP addresses on each machine with TCPIP checked as default protocol.

It is really critical that you download the DCOMCFG from microsoft.com/com/downloads (it never worked before I did that)

As per help file in CDJ: Enable DCOM on both computers On the defaults tab set security to none, impersonate to impersonate on the security tab set enable remote connection.

on the client set the application to run on remote computer (hard coded ip) on the server set the application to run on this computer

Make sure to start SLINKESRVER on your server computer in the startup (I can't get it to launch it)
