event map doesn't recognize device

I'm trying to use an event map with cdj, but when it executes, it doesn't recognize the device.... I get an error that says "amp is not a known device"... I've tried naming the device "amp", "ampsls", "amp ", etc.

I'm naming the device when I add it... The device file works fine when I run the slink ocx in visual basic....
