X-10 and IR control

I have just purchased an X-10 Active Home system and am excited to get going. One of the things I'm particularly interested in is being able to control devices in my home theater system with my Marantz RC5000 (Pronto) remote, and being able to control my home theater from X-10 commands.

I understand that with the addition of a CM11, the Slink-e will allow this. Now the question:

Am I able to connect the CM-11A directly to the Slink-e, or do I connect the Slink-e to my PC (which already has the CM11A and my phone controller)?
