In Response To: cd booklet storage solution? (Tom Lanzendorfer)

This may not be what your looking for, but it's how I do it.

With all the discs I have, it would take a suitcase to hold all the jewel covers (very heavy). I also found that a lot of them have such small print or bad color combinations that it makes them very hard to read. Some also have omitted their track numbers, or printed them in the wrong order, or worse yet only have the songs listed on the disc itself. All these problems proved to be very frustrating, so I just have CDJ print an entire list of all my songs. I first do a search for all by entering "! title = xxx" which finds every song not titled "xxx", there may be an easier way but it works. You can sort by any field (makes it easy to alphabetize), move, delete and resize columns, basically lay it out any way you like. I use file/slot location, title, album and artist. Then have CDJ print "search results". I have a 3-hole punch and I make it into a book. My friends find it easier to flip through something the size of a magazine than the way I had it before. OK, so I don't have the pictures of the album covers but the information is always up to date and accurate. The only cost is paper and a little time. I also include a printout of the library in case they are looking for a specfic disc.

Later, Don
