FYI, the very early versions of CDJ had the basic Disc / Track tree heirarchy you are showing. I found it was a very slow way to navigate your music collection since you have to explicitly open and close things to see their constituents.

BTW, all of the things you are discussing can be accomplished in a seperate program from CDJ. You could even support drag and drop between your program and CDJ quite easily.
