What amazes me is that anyone would complain in the first place. If there
were hundreds of off topic messages a day, I could would complain too. But
there are at most six or seven message A DAY average here, and most of them
are on topic. If someone can't be bothered to sort through only 30 to 40
messages a week, then they don't belong here.

Isn't that how mailing lists, usenet, BBSs, etc., are supposed to work?

How many separate lists would you want to create? If you had a problem using
the Slink-e that was Linux related would you post it to the "check out this
cool new s-linke driven stuff" list, or create another list for Linux
problems? What about Macs? How about people working on a WinCE or Palm
solution...where should they post?

And why draw the line at the OS? You could create even more lists by
dividing among different types of issues [people who have setup problems and
people who are developing new solutions/programs].And what do you think the
odds are that a new person would post to the correct list?

Obviously the topics that get the most attention on the list are the ones
that many people are interested in. If you aren't...don't read them. The
solution is really as simple as that. I think the last thing that any of us
need is another list to subscribe to.
