Hi:

These gizmos are regulated by FCC regs which hold their RF power input below
a very low limit.  I no longer remember what that limit is, but 50
Milliwatts seems to ring a bell.  Ramsey, which you can find at
www.ramseyelectronics.com also make low end FM broadcast units.  These
require FCC station licenses which require innumerable hoops to be jumped
through.

Having said all that, it occurs that if you are using these things to avoid
wiring, you must be satisfied with pretty low quality audio.  Their channel
separation, response, and modulation distortion are way below broadcast
quality.  Hence, these trinkets are not suitable for home theater quality
systems.
