[slinkelist] Disappearing Disks

Hi List,
I also have the missing disk problem. I have a CX-270 and it can occur
anytime and its usually the same disks that get lost. Sometimes one or two
are missing, sometimes up to 10 or so. Is this a problem Sony is aware of.
How would you even begin to describe the problem to the tech if he was
unfamiliar with Slinke? I am not opposed to paying for the logic board
upgrade but what if the new logic board doesn't solve the problem. Is anyone
else having similar problems or have other solutions other than the logic
board route?
Thanks,
Dale
