convince a Customer Service type person to transfer me.  Another number I

Well, I tried it.  No luck.  The menu system on there is not very clear
which mode you put it in, but I tried both (and reset the power on both
players between tries, just be be sure the bus was reset) and still get "no
connect".  It would be very nice if Sony provided some sort of tech
support and listed a number in the manuals. :)
