The text that is uploaded to the player is the Disk Memo field in the
database.  However, if the field is empty, then the Album title is used.
The album title field is filled in automatically by the CDDB process.

Hmm, have you tried it?  It's been there are far as I can remember.
My CDs have memos on them I certainly didn't type them all.
