I have the above equipment along with a Sony SLV-798HR VCR and a Dish
Network model 4800 receiver, which has Dolby Digital (5.1) optical outputs.
All tied together with an SLink-e.

The CD changer sounds horrible when connected via RCA (analog) vs the
optical inputs on the DE825 amp.

SO I have the CD changer via the "DVD/LD" optical input, which works (and
sounds) great.

The problem is that wherever CDJ changes does a "using_player" the amp
switches to analog connections. If I then manually type the command
AMP:input_dvd/ld into the window provided in the "Slink-e Data" window, the
AMP switches correctly to the DVD/LD input and thus the optical connections
to the CDP-CX220 changer.

My "maps.txt" file is attached as well as the device files I'm using.

thanks for any help on this!
john

# add some custom events here
#
# for example, if you had a spare VCR remote

# vcr:play {cdj:playlist_play}
# vcr:stop {cdj:playlist_stop}
#
# if you wanted to be really fancy, you could make CDJ

# vcr:0

# cdj:search_mode[track]
