Multiple map commands

Per the help files I should be able to use multiple commands on the same command line of the Map file. I've seen it in the sample map files as well but it never works for me.

If I use one command it works fine but using two commends something like:

cdjr:vol_up {receiver:vol+ receiver:vol+} doesn't work while:

cdjr:vol_up {receiver:vol+} does...

Anyone have any suggestions?
