Re: Cannot save Library

Boy. am I glad that somebody besides me is having this problem...

Unfortunately, installing MDAC 2.5 does not resolve the problem for me - instead it creates a new one.

Hardware - old Everex ExpressNote 586 (100mhz Cyrix), upgraded to 16mb memory.

Software - Windows 95 - with or without Service Pack 1

Latest version of CDJ

Did a clean install of Win95 (wiped the drive) Installed mid-September full CDJ install, then applied latest update

When running CDJ and saving the Library:

Error opening database COM error 80004003

Tried doing the MDAC 2.5 install - now I get:

Error occured while attempting to use MS ADO 2.1. ...install this compomnent before attempting to use the database functions of CDJ.

Error 8002000a out of present range

I'm really flailing around at this point, and am far from confident that I will *ever* get CDJ working on this laptop.

I'm more than willing to pursue most any suggestion folks might have - this doesn't seem like a CDJ problem per se, but rather an OLE bug of some sort (something wrong in the registry???)
