I recently purchased the CX450 - I had the same concerns, but besides the increased warranty, there was little to justify the price difference to me. I wound up buying at www.onecall.com, for $255 or so. They are knowledgable, non-commissioned, easy to work with and fast. The return policy is not the best. Don't believe the prices on their website, call them - they will beat anyone. You should be able to get the ES model from them too.
