3. Regarding the discs that show up as unplayable, your point is considered, but I do not think this is what I am experienceing.

Reason being that I found a somewhat cumbersome solution that fixes the issue without ever touching the player or disc.

If I do a disc search on the specific slot, after CDJ goes out and checks with CDDB, all is well again. Also, there is no pattern to the discs that get marked as unplayable.
