IR Outputs to External IR Input?

I have a pair of Parasound TDQ-150 Stereo Tuners. On the back is a jack marked "External IR Input". Is ot possible to connect that directly to an IR output from the Slink-e?

Here's what the manual says about the connection:

External Remote Control Connection:

Your TDQ-150 accepts the infrared signal of any popular infrared repeater system to facilitate remote control operation from another room or when your tuner is installed within a closed cabinet. This connector is a 1/8" (3.5 mm)two conductor mini jack; its center conductor is +, its outer conductor is - . For further details contact your Parasound dealer or custom installer.
