When I view the text file of the CD library, I can't figure out how the disc number as stored in the player is

represented. Can you let me know the method used?

Also, when I want to play an MP3 file I would like to have the receiver automatically switch the input

source, and then back again when done. How can I do that using the infrared unit? (no slink on the

receiver)

Your Slink-e is a great product!

There are player and location fields in the file. Player is the player number, location is the slot number.

To switch inputs you should do the following:

1) Make / find a device file for your receiver so you can control it

a) Use E-Z Learn to make this device file for you. Let's say you name relevant input selection buttons "cd" and "dat".

2) Add the device to CDJs device list in the options property sheet. Make sure you associate it with the correct IR ports (or just select all of them to be safe). For the rest of the example, let's assume you name the device "receiver".

3) Verify that the device "receiver" was loaded properly by looking at the device tab in the player / device window (or the similar view in slinkeserv if you're using that). You should also be able to see its commands

4) In the events list, add commands to the "CD 1" and "MP3" events.

for CD 1, your command would be receiver:cd
for MP3, your command would be receiver:dat

5) Now, each time CDJ is about to play somthing on one of these players, it will send out the appropriate input select command. You might as well add volume, mute, power up and power down events too.
