Hmm, certainly your points are valid. I guess it depends on what you use
the search for. We tend to use it to create a pool for a playlist. So
if I really wanted an artist I would search for for tracks not the CD.

I can always find out what CD a track belongs but with the current but the
current behaviour I can't get the particular subset of CDs that I want.

What about giving the option to search "cdkw" which would limit the search
to the CD level information. I'm sure there are many ways you can come up with
to search for the specific case.
