The volume Up/Down and Mute buttons work great. How about an extra toolbar with 6-12 user assigned buttons for different IR commands. These could be used for A/V control or Home Autmation.

Good idea. It will be hard for me to make the button icons user defineable, so I might have to come up with some useful ones myself. (Or maybe some icon artist out there can send me some - hint, hint). I would be good to have all of the standard keys on remotes.
