CDJ Volume Controls

I am currently using a Sony 260 changer with a Sony 925 receiver and have them connected with Slink cables -- CDJ will cause the the changer and the receiver to start and operate but the up/down/mute icons on the CDJ tool bar do not work - am I missing something?
