I've noticed that if I explode a disk in a playlist while it's currently playing that the playlist stops and restarts at the beginning. Is this intended?

It's not intentional, but a side effect of the fact that when CDJ is playing "whole disc" it isn't really keeping track of where you are in the disc. When it explodes the disc, it puts the pointer on the first track, which then causes that to start playing.
