Contemplating purchase

After reading some of the posted messages, I believe that the CDJ software and the SLINK-E will work for me; however I would like to get more confirmation. I currently have a 270 master (CD 2) with a 250 slave (CD 3). Will the software/hardware work with this configuration, i.e. having 1 player with a 400 disc capacity, or would I have to disable the master/slave relationship?
