Command to stop IR transmit?

Does the SlinkX ActiveX control have any provision for telling the Slinke to stop transmitting IR? I've got a pan/tilt camera head that I can control with my slinke, but in order to smoothly pan and tilt, it requires a continuous IR signal. The best I could do with SlinkX was repeat a recorded command, which lead to jumpy motion. I figured a way around this would be to:

(1) Record a command long enough to move the head its full travel distance (2) Send that command every time the user pressed the button in my VB app (3) When the user releases the button, the slinke would terminate IR transmission.

Does such a command exist?

Thanks,

Gary
