In Response To: Command to stop IR transmit? (Gary Case)

I couldn't find it and I also needed it for a similar application (scan forward on sony VCR) I asked Colby to think about adding a repeat mode to the active X control so that if repeat mode is on, the slink itelf repeats the IR command until you clear the mode bit in the control.

I was thinking of doing repeat as follows: turn on IR echo. I use lowlevel so doing that causes commands to be echoed back. in the slink event handler if an ir command is echoed back, then we are in "repeat mode" and push it right out through the event handler. that should lower the latency time considerably. turn off ir echo to stop the repeat.

Any thoughts. Let me know if you try it.

I should get around to trying it someday.
