Re: IR echo not working for cable box

I have had problems with the General Instruments cable box and IR repeating in the past. The cable box will accept IR signals from my JDS IRXP but it took a lot of tweaking both with the signal characteristics and the placement of the ir emitter. It seemed to work better if the ir emitter was a little bit away from the sensor.

Now I am having the same problem with the cable box and TiVO. The TiVO people said that they are aware of the problem and will make an adjustment in the next software update.

Any suggestions would be welcome. I could send a Pronto .ccf file if anybody wanted to look at it.
