I guess there's more than one way to skin a cat. When you shut down ID3 then ID2 then ID1, the master can recognize that the slave is already off so it won't send an off signal to it. I can see how this could solve the problem on some systems, so maybe on mine it's getting to the master before the master receives the power off reply from the slave? Hence, double signals toggling it back on. If you put a delay between them it might just work. I hope I'm not giving you bad info since I don't know just how you're doing it in CDJ, I'm just going on what I can figure out with my limited stuff. Working consistantly on all systems is the objective and you asked if anyone is still having problems with it, so I answered even though I don't use the feature. I noticed that someone mentioned that he still has problems with scroll bars, my scroll bars work great, I guess it's just the system or he didn't download it right. OOPS! I'm ramblin' on again.
