Thinking of buying a Slink-E

I am very new to all this. I have Homeseer set up and a few X-10 boxes, lights etc. What I want is to be able to create an even in Homeseer that will turn on my Stereo, DSS, TV, and turn it to the appropriate channel. All without me touching a thing. Optionally I would like to control all my IR devices in this maner. Can Slink-e do this? Will Homeseer talk to the Slink-e in this fashion? Is the Slink-e a IR remote learning device? I am not a programer, I am very point and click orientated.
