[slinkelist] Times Played criterion? And Slink-e data window

Does anyone know what criterion is used by CDJ in filling out the "times
played" field? Sometimes a track is only played for 10 seconds and it is
marked as played, while other times a track can be played in its entirety
several times and "times played" is still 0. Is this a known problem?

On a different issue: how does the Slink-e data window in CDJ work? That
is, If I type a device command like "remote:3", does it decode this
symbolically, using my
maps files, and then have CDJ do whatever is contained therein, or does it
look up the IR value for remote:3, and them transmit it? I don't have the
IR
xmitter hooked up right now, and want to know if that is why I am not
getting any response when I type "remote:3" to the Slink-e data window. The
funny thing is that I get results when I type "cdj:plalist_play" etc.
