It's not just Sony that has a switching delay. I use a Krell DA converter (CD-DSP) and it has the same switching problems. Apart from that the problem get more complex as the number of devices increaces. Add two Tascam MD, one Tascam DAT, a PC with a RME soundcard, two Sony Jukeboxes and a loop for a copybit processor that removes the SMCS code. With this setup (8 active inputs, 6 active outputs) I have to go manual on most ports because I get the unlock singal on most machines.

With autosensing switched off it works great.
